Interregional cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan strengthens

The development of interregional cooperation was discussed during the meeting of Tajik Ambassador to Turkmenistan Vafo Niyatbekzoda with the khakim of Balkan province Khojamyrat Ashirmyratov. This is reported by the Internet edition "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".

During the meeting such areas of cooperation between the regions as economy, trade, investment, industry, agriculture, education and culture were discussed. As it was noted, expansion and strengthening of cooperation between the twin cities of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan is an important part of the partnership between the countries.

In April this year, during the visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Tajikistan, an agreement was signed between the leaders of Khujand and Arkadag on the establishment of twinning relations.
