A representative of the Customs Service of Turkmenistan completed the WCO training program

Turkmenistan participated in the WCO-Japan Program for the first time. Specialist of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan Kerim Akhmedov completed a 10-month Professional Development Program. This is reported by the Internet publication "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".

The WCO program includes training at the Capacity Building Department of the WCO Secretariat and independent research activities on customs issues. The results of Kerim Akhmedov's research are presented to WCO senior management.

The Professional Development Programme has been in operation since 2009 and is organized by the World Customs Organization in cooperation with the Japan Customs Service. Kerim Akhmedov was among the graduates awarded a certificate for successful completion of the Program by WCO Secretary General Jan Saunders.
