Representatives of the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka held political consultations

Inter-Ministerial online political consultations were held on Thursday between representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

In the course of consultations the possibilities of expanding partnership in the spheres of trade and economy, investment and agriculture, political-diplomatic and cultural-humanitarian spheres were considered.

The oil and gas and chemical sectors, transportation and logistics, textile industry, tourism and education were named priority areas of cooperation. Agreements were reached to expand inter-parliamentary cooperation and improve the legal framework, to intensify ties between the CCIs of the countries and to hold business forums.
