In the first days of April 2021, representatives of Turkmenistan visited Moscow. The purpose of the trip was to reach agreements on bilateral Turkmen-Russian cooperation.
The heads of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Partnership of Russia and Turkmenistan met there, as well as political consultations between the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries. Turkmen diplomats also attended the regular congress of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers. At the same time, representatives of Turkmenistan signed a number of agreements on cooperation with representatives of Russian state institutions.
Turkmen delegates also participated in the congress of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIMC) held in Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan, Russia) on April 29-30, 2021.
