Head of "TurkmenSvyaz" spoke about the development of the telecommunications sector

TurkmenTel-2022, an international forum on telecommunications, information technologies and telemetry, is being held in Ashgabat in a hybrid format. Foreign delegations and representatives of companies join the online broadcast.

Among the most important speakers was the representative of Turkmenviaz Khadjimyrat Khudaygulyev. In his speech, he outlined the status and prospects of modernization of the telecommunications sector in Turkmenistan in line with the sustainable development of the digital economy. As part of this direction, the company has launched a number of projects on technical support of infrastructure, creation of a large-scale communications network based on modern technologies, provision of Internet to remote settlements of Turkmenistan.

More than 100 million dollars worth of equipment was purchased to provide the country with 4G-coverage. Radio transmitters have been launched for remote settlements in Turkmenistan. The country's two major companies, Turkmentelecom and Azertelecom LLC, are preparing to lay a fiber-optic communication line along the bed of the Caspian Sea between the cities of Turkmenbashi and Siazan.
