Т. Paovich spoke in an interview about UNDP cooperation with Turkmenistan

Tomica Paovic, UNDP Acting Permanent Representative in Turkmenistan, gave an interview in which he spoke about the strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and UNDP. This is reported in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".

According to him, the latest joint initiatives of Turkmenistan and UNDP concern support to the Central Election Commission in holding elections and referendums and strengthening the capacity of the Ombudsman's Office.
An agreement was signed with the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan to extend two projects. The volume of last year's and current investments in this area is about 150 million US dollars.

Т. Paovich noted that UNDP assisted in the implementation of the Single Window for Export-Import Transactions project, which will simplify interagency business processes. The project has been extended until the end of 2024.
