Areas of cooperation outlined at the Turkmen-Afghan business forum

The Turkmen-Afghan business forum outlined the main areas of cooperation, including agro-industrial complex and rational use of water resources. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

The Turkmen side noted the commitment to promote initiatives on integrated and planned water use, including transboundary water use. Turkmenistan is actively working on water supply for agro-industrial complex and introduction of water-saving technologies.

Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan Nuruddin Azizi noted the country's commitment to mutual consent and equality in the use of transboundary water resources. Interest was expressed in expanding cooperation in the sphere of agro-industrial complex between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.
