Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development David Cameron in Ashgabat. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.
The Turkmen side noted that Great Britain is one of the key partners of Turkmenistan in Europe. The meeting was devoted to issues related to the development of cooperation in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, in particular, in trade, education, oil and gas industry, agriculture, new technologies, climate change and green economy.
The head of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude for the support of initiatives within the UN, including the initiative to declare 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust.
