Turkmen delegation visited Moscow within the framework of UNIDO projects

Representatives of Turkmen ministries and agencies completed a week-long working visit to Moscow, where from June 15 to 22 they studied the Russian experience in reducing the consumption of hydrofluorocarbons within the framework of UNIDO projects.

The delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Construction and Architecture, State Concern "Turkmenhimiya" and other specialized organizations.

The main purpose of the visit was to study the Russian experience of implementing the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, which Turkmenistan joined in 2020. The amendment provides for a gradual reduction in the use of hydrofluorocarbons and a transition to environmentally friendly natural refrigerants.

The visit program included visits to production enterprises and educational events. The delegation got acquainted with the work of Industrial Solutions LLC, which manufactures industrial refrigeration equipment using natural refrigerant ammonia, and visited the Globus hypermarket in the City of Kosino shopping and entertainment center.

Special attention was paid to the excursion to the TechnoFrost plant in the town of Kirzhach, Vladimir region. The enterprise occupies an area of more than 40 thousand square meters and uses over 90% of Russian raw materials and components in production.

The key event was the conference "Energy efficiency of refrigeration systems in the light of hydrofluorocarbons phase-out", organized by UNIDO and Rossoyuzkholodprom at the Scientific and Educational Center "CryoFrost Academy". The event was addressed by international experts Olga Volgina and Vasily Tselikov, Yury Dubrovin, Chairman of the Board of Rossoyuzkholodprom, and Alexander Kotlyar, founder of TechnoFrost plant.

The participants of the delegation underwent specialized trainings on safe handling of natural refrigerants and received relevant certificates.

Following the visit, the Turkmen representatives invited Russian experts to take part in the International Conference and Exhibition "CIET 2025" to be held in Ashgabat on November 3-5, 2025.
