On August 1, the International Forum of Volunteers of the CIS countries with the participation of the Turkmen delegation started in the city of Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the Internet edition "TurkmenPortal.
The participants also included representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan. During the opening ceremony of the conference, Deputy Minister of Culture of Kyrgyzstan Marat Tagaev, CIS Deputy Secretary General Nurlan Seitimbaev, and UN Representative for Europe and the CIS Rimma Sabaeva spoke.
The conference will focus on five different areas in the field of volunteering, including partnerships between volunteer organizations and integration of SDGs into volunteer activities. The Forum will contribute to strengthening international cooperation and volunteering, as well as to the achievement of the SDGs.
