On May 17 this year, a Turkmen delegation arrived in the Russian city of Kazan to participate in the XIV International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: Kazan Forum-2023", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.
The Turkmen delegation was headed by Mammetkhan Chakyev, Head of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. The delegation included members of the Government, employees of relevant ministries and agencies, and the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Russia.
The aim of the conference is to strengthen the interrelations between Russia and members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the spheres of trade, culture and science.
The program of the large-scale event includes several sessions, including sessions on the development of the North-South transport corridor. The International Halal Industry Fair will be held within the framework of the Economic Forum, where products of Turkmen producers will be presented.
