On May 17 this year, Deputy Foreign Minister Myahri Byashimova met with Serbian diplomat Momcilo Babic, who was appointed Ambassador of Serbia to Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow). This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The new Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Turkmenistan presented his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the ceremony, the parties discussed the active development of political and diplomatic relations between Serbia and Turkmenistan.
It was emphasized that regular inter-ministerial consultations are of great importance in the development of bilateral cooperation. Within the framework of the meeting the issue of expanding the legal framework was raised.
The parties highlighted promising areas of Turkmen-Serbian relations, including trade, textile industry, production of polymer products, fertilizers and agricultural products. The development of cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere and strengthening of inter-university ties were named among the topical areas of partnership.
