Turkmen delegation participated in the meeting on Afghanistan

Today, a Turkmen delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmed Gurbanov took part in the fifth meeting of the special representatives of the European Union and Central Asian countries on Afghanistan in Bishkek. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.

The meeting discussed issues related to the current situation in Afghanistan in the socio-economic, humanitarian and security spheres. The meeting in Bishkek is intended to help unite the efforts of regional countries to support Afghanistan. The next meeting of the Special Representatives on Afghanistan will be held in the near future in Doha.

The Turkmen delegation also held bilateral meetings with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Teri Hakala and Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas Nicklasson.
