Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan discussed cooperation in the railway sector

The issues of strengthening cooperation in the sphere of railroad transportation were discussed at the meeting of Chairman of the Agency "Turkmendemiryollary" Azat Atamuradov with the head of CJSC "Azerbaijan Railways" Rovshan Rustamov in Ashgabat. This is reported by the Internet edition "TurkmenPortal".

The meeting was devoted to increasing the total volume of freight transportation and developing multimodal transportation on the Central Asia-Europe and China-Europe routes. The parties noted the potential for cooperation between the two countries in the development of railroad infrastructure to present a wide range of opportunities in the European market.

During the meetings Rovshan Rustamov had with representatives of "Turkmendenizderyollary" agency and "Turkmenneft", "Turkmengaz" and "Turkmenhimiya" concerns, he was told about the work of "Azerbaijan Railways" in the context of expanding the potential of the Middle Corridor.
