On the margins of the TNA Summit in Astana, Chairman of the Khalk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The President of Kazakhstan thanked the National Leader of the Turkmen people for attending the summit.
In Kazakhstan, you are known as the unconditional Leader of Turkmenistan, one of the outstanding statesmen of our time. You have made a huge contribution to the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan." - Tokayev emphasized.
These talks will further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, Tokayev said. Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are successfully developing cooperation without any problems. The parties noted the positive dynamics in trade and discussed the implementation of joint projects in various areas.
Chairman of Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also thanked Kasym-Jomart Tokayev for the invitation to the jubilee summit of Turkic-speaking states.
Over the years, we have accumulated a legal framework on foreign policy, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian issues. If we talk about foreign policy issues, we are grateful to you. You always support our positive neutral status. And separately I want to emphasize, we are grateful to you, as you, working as a leader in the UN structures, have done a lot for our foreign policy course." - noted the National Leader.
The parties also confirmed their readiness to further strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
