Turkmenistan and IAEA develop cooperation in the field of nuclear medicine

Turkmenistan together with the International Atomic Energy Agency is developing a five-year Framework Program of Cooperation in the spheres of health care and nuclear medicine, rational use of water resources and agriculture. This is reported by Centralasia.news.

Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov said during the Cabinet of Ministers meeting that a regular meeting of the working group to discuss the draft Program is scheduled for June 2024. It was noted that one of the most important areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the IAEA is the fight against cancer. In this regard, Turkmenistan is modernizing its infrastructure.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave instructions to continue work in the context of effective cooperation with the IAEA.
