On July 23, the Chairmen of the joint Turkmen-Pakistani and Pakistan-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commissions on Trade and Economic Cooperation met. During the meeting, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held talks with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mohammad Ishaq Dar. It is reported Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
The sides discussed the issues of partnership expansion, as well as topical issues related to the implementation of the TAPI and TAP projects.
During the political consultations at the level of foreign ministers held on the same day, the sides paid special attention to the fight against terrorism and cyberattacks. Active mutual support within the framework of international structures was noted. Energy, transportation, culture and education were named priority areas of partnership. The interlocutors emphasized the need to expand the legal framework.
