The Turkmen delegation, which includes representatives of various official agencies of the country, has been on an official visit to Georgia since May 27. The visit, aimed at studying the country's experience in joining the World Trade Organization, will end on May 31. This is reported in the TurkmenPortal online publication.
During the visit, discussions were held with representatives of the Georgian Tax Service, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, colleagues from the Ministry of Economy and the Customs Department. During the meetings much attention was paid to the modernization of customs procedures in order to simplify them. Current issues of the WTO membership and integration process were discussed at the meeting.
