Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan exchange invitations for entrepreneurs

Baku, July 29 - Arzuw.news. The 8th session of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan has been held in the capital of Azerbaijan, following which the parties signed a protocol on further strengthening of partnership in trade and economic sphere. The Turkmen delegation was represented at the talks by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyev, while the Azerbaijani side was headed by Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.

During the meeting, the participants discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in key sectors of the economy. Special attention was paid to the development of cooperation in the energy and oil and gas sectors, as well as in trade, transportation, communications and agriculture.

The sides also considered opportunities to expand partnership in the chemical and food industries, environmental protection and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of intensifying business contacts between the entrepreneurs of the two countries, including their participation in exhibitions, forums and other joint events.

The next 9th meeting of the intergovernmental commission is scheduled to be held in Ashgabat.
