Turkmenistan and the Principality of Liechtenstein establish diplomatic relations

Turkmenistan and the Principality of Liechtenstein signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations. The signing ceremony was held in New York at the office of the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN on November 1 this year. It is reported on the website Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The signing ceremony was preceded by a meeting between Turkmenistan's Permanent Representative to the UN Aksoltan Ataeva and the Principality of Liechtenstein's Permanent Representative to the UN Christian Wenaweser. The parties confirmed their readiness to develop cooperation between the states in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The interlocutors discussed topical issues of preventive diplomacy, peace and confidence building, maintaining international ties in the sports sphere and in other areas of sustainable development.
