Today, Afghanistan received humanitarian aid from Turkmenistan, which the leader of the Turkmen nation ordered to be sent on April 30. In honor of the holy month fasting, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov instructed the Ministry of Agriculture and SPPT to organize gratuitous food aid to the Afghan people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan provided delivery and transfer of the cargo.
Khakim of Faryab velayat and representatives of the neighboring state gratefully welcomed the arriving food products of Turkmen production and expressed their gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen nation for their support and care for the people of Afghanistan.
Turkmenistan pursues a policy of neutrality, approved by the UN, maintaining peaceful relations with all countries to ensure stability and security. In particular, this applies to neighboring states, assistance to which in difficult times is an important component of good-neighborly relations. Through the implementation of infrastructure projects and the provision of assistance, including humanitarian aid, Turkmenistan contributes to the social and economic inclusion of Afghanistan in the global community.
