Turkmenistan received more than 1,400 new citizens

Turkmenistan has received 1406 new citizens representing 29 nationalities. This is reported by the Internet publication "Westiabad."

The relevant decree was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during an expanded government session on September 20. 134 foreign nationals will also receive residence permits, a decision to this effect has been made.

The head of Turkmenistan instructed to continue processing documents on applications for Turkmen citizenship and residence permits for foreign citizens and stateless persons.

Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov noted that over the years 30998 people have already received Turkmen citizenship and 5018 foreign citizens and stateless persons have received residence permits.
