Turkmenistan realizes cultural diplomacy

National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has repeatedly noted that the implementation of cultural diplomacy is necessary for the wide popularization of Turkmen culture. This is reported by the Internet publication "Vestiabad".

T. Babayeva, lecturer at the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, spoke about cooperation with international organizations, in particular, TURKSOY. Following the meeting of the Permanent Council of the TURKSOY member countries, the Turkmen city of Anau received the status of the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2024. Thus, this city will become a center of attraction for people of culture and science throughout the year.

According to history, the ancient settlement of Anau existed from the 4th millennium BC to the Middle Ages.
In 1904, since the discovery of the ruins of Anau by the American archaeologist Rafael Pampelli, the concept of "Anau culture" was introduced. Preserved wheat grains 5,000 years old and unique samples of ceramics and faience were found, testifying to the high culture of the ancient inhabitants of Anau.
