Turkmenistan becomes a transcontinental transportation hub

Expert Vadim Shagiakhmedov said that Turkmenistan aims to become a transcontinental transportation hub that will link the European, Asian-Pacific and South Asian economic systems. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online edition.

According to the observer, the country is currently working actively to develop transport infrastructure along the North-South and East-West routes, building bridges, high-speed highways, railroads, as well as developing air and sea routes. The expert emphasized that the geographical location of the country allows Turkmenistan to successfully integrate into international transport corridors.

V. Shagiakhmedov also noted that Turkmenistan regularly puts forward initiatives to create transcontinental transport corridors at the global level.
