A sub-regional training on port transportation control was held in Turkmenistan

A sub-regional training was held for members of the Port Control Groups of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on the basis of Lebap Velayat Customs. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The training was organized within the framework of the Global Container Control Programme of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the World Customs Organization. The lectures were conducted by Svetlan Savov, an expert of the World Customs Organization.

The seminar participants will be able to improve their knowledge of profiling and selection of high-risk cargoes, detection and inspection of illegal cargoes, and document verification. The participants consolidated their theoretical knowledge in practice, including by using the WCO's ComprehensiveSOMM platform.
