The Turkmen delegation held talks with the Secretary General of TURKSOY

During the visit of the Turkmen delegation headed by Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov to Türkiye, talks were held with TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Rayev. This is reported by Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

Organizational issues on preparation for the events within the framework of declaring Anau city the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 and declaring 2024 the "Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world - Makhtumkuli Fraghi" were considered.

Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the promotion of Makhtumkuli's work and the cultural value of the ancient city of Anau within the framework of international organizations, in particular UNESCO and TURKSOY.
During the conversation, the Turkmen side expressed interest in further development of cooperation with TURKSOY.

An exhibition of books and paintings dedicated to the anniversary of the Turkmen poet was organized at the headquarters of the International Organization.
