Turkmen tennis player wins silver at international tournament in Malaysia

Turkmen tennis player Ilima Huseynova, together with Iranian representative Hana Shabanpour, won the second place in doubles at the international tennis tournament Selangor Asian 14 & Under Grade A Tournament (Southeast Asia), which was held in Malaysia from August 3 to 10, reported Vestiabad.

The tournament was held in Bandar Baru-Enstek, Negeri Sembilan and attracted 64 young athletes from different parts of Asia.

Under the guidance of Turkmenistan's head coach Mirali Hasanov, Ilima Huseynova scored remarkable victories on her way to the final.

It should be noted that the Turkmen athlete reached the quarterfinals in singles, having successfully overcome the group stage, 1/16 and 1/8 stages of the final.
