Turkmenistan's Arkadag received the status of a city of state significance

As the periodical "Türkmenistan" reported on Friday, March 24, the President of Turkmenistan signed a law on granting a special legal status to the city of Arkadag, which is an integral part of the territory of the state and has a special significance.

The Law "On the City of Arkadag" defines a new legal status, legal and organizational aspects of the city's public authorities.

According to the Law signed by the President, the population of the city are citizens of Turkmenistan with residence in Arkadag, as well as foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily or permanently residing in the city.

Currently, the young city of Arkadag is the administrative center of Ahal province and is under active construction in accordance with modern trends and "smart" IT-technologies.
