President of Turkmenistan meets with newly appointed Israeli envoy

On Tuesday, March 28, Serdar Berdimuhamedov received in Turkmenistan the newly appointed Israeli Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Representative Ismail Haldi. After mutual greetings, the President of Turkmenistan and the Israeli envoy discussed issues related to diplomatic relations between the two states. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

One of the topics of the meeting was the discussion of cooperation within the framework of UN activities. The President noted Israel's support for Turkmenistan's initiatives aimed at preserving peace, security and development.

The President also emphasized the effective relations of the states in trade and economic sphere. Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed interest in strengthening bilateral ties and exchange of experience in the agricultural sector of the economy.

The representatives of the two countries also discussed issues related to cultural, scientific, educational and tourist spheres of cooperation.
