Turkmen fighter defeats Lithuanian rival at tournament in California

Mixed style fighter Dovletjan Yagshimuradov defeated his Lithuanian opponent Julius Englikas in the light heavyweight division of the Bellator 292 tournament, which is currently taking place in San Jose, California, USA. This is reported by the online edition of "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The 33-year-old native of Turkmenabad won the three-round bout with a solid performance, showing excellent standup work and 3 spectacular takedowns.

Recall that Dovletjan Yagshimuradov signed a contract with the Bellator organization in late 2020, becoming the first Turkmen athlete to compete at the tournaments of this mixed martial arts promoter.

The beginning of his Bellator career was not very successful, but last year Jagshimuradov opened the account of victories, winning a fight with Brazilian R. Carvalho. The victory over the Lithuanian athlete became the second in a series of successful fights of D. Yagshimuradov.
