Turkmen diplomat M. Charyev participated in the VII UNESCO meeting

Ambassador of Turkmenistan Permanent Representative to UNESCO M. Chariev took part in the VII meeting of the countries-participants of the 1970 Convention on the Prohibition of the Illicit Import and Export of Cultural Property, which was held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris on May 30 this year. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During his speech at the meeting, M. Chariev noted that Turkmenistan possesses a large number of cultural values that are part of the world cultural heritage. Turkmenistan tries not only to protect and preserve them, but also to disseminate them.

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan emphasized the country's focus on active cooperation with the States Parties to the Convention in order to share experience in the field of preserving cultural property.

During the meeting, elections to the Subsidiary Committee of the Council of Participating States took place.
