Turkmen theater "ArtIst" will perform in St. Petersburg

The festival "Meetings in Russia" dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Russian playwright Alexander Ostrovsky will be held in St. Petersburg, where the Turkmen theater "ArtIst" will perform on April 10. The ArtIst Youth Theater will represent Turkmenistan for the first time at the international festival of CIS countries, which will run from April 7 to 16. In addition to Turkmenistan, troupes from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia will perform on stage.

The Turkmen theater will present to the audience the play "Profitable Place", which premiered in Ashgabat last fall. The theater artists have also prepared a mini flash mob-style performance of the national dance "Kusht-Depdi".
