UNICEF and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan organized a roundtable discussion

A round table held by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and UNICEF representatives discussed further steps to strengthen the system of child care and family protection. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

During the meeting the parties exchanged opinions and international experience in this field. Emphasis was placed on the need to expand the staff of social services. The parties emphasized that a favorable family environment is especially important for the all-round harmonious development of children, for preserving and strengthening their physical and mental health.

In this regard, the State should implement social projects, identify families and children in need of support, and provide social services that meet their needs.
