July 4 is U.S. Independence Day, which is celebrated not only in this world power, but all over the world. Turkmenistan was no exception. The celebrations took place at the Yildiz Hotel. Heads and employees of diplomatic missions, prominent figures of culture and art, business partners and many others attended the celebration.
The festivities began with casual socializing in the hotel lobby, where a light buffet awaited the participants, and then the guests moved on to the beautifully set tables. At the entrance you could take a picture with the recognizable Uncle Sam in his distinctive cylinder and clothes, the colors of which remind the American flag, as well as with the Statue of Liberty with the traditional torch in his hand.
There was also an exhibition of books about the achievements of the United States in the lobby. Those who wished could also see photographs illustrating life in the country today.
During the official ceremony, guests listened to remarks by U.S. Ambassador Matthew S. Klimow and Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov.
