The grand finale of "Çalsana, bagşy!" contest has been completed in Ashgabat. On August 24, the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center witnessed a bright musical event that gathered talented bakhshi from all over the country," reports State Information Agency of Turkmenistan.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in his welcoming address emphasized the importance of preserving and developing the national cultural heritage and supporting young talents.

The contest, aimed at popularizing the unique Turkmen musical art, included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO, was established within the framework of the presidential program "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry" and has already become one of the most significant events in the cultural life of Turkmenistan.

The winners of the contest were awarded a special diploma and a gold chain by the President of Turkmenistan. All participants received memorable gifts.
