All manuscripts with works by Makhtumkuli Fraghi will be restored in Turkmenistan

For the remarkable date - the three hundredth anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fraghi's birth - specialists of the Institute of Language and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan have planned to restore all manuscripts containing works by the great poet, philosopher and thinker of the East. This is reported by the Neutral Turkmenistan daily newspaper.

Manuscripts of Makhtumkuli Fraghi, which have the most severe damages, will be restored first of all. Each manuscript will be treated individually during the restoration work.

The restoration of the 19th-century manuscript of 672 pages has now been completed. This manuscript contains 206 poems by the great poet.

As Güzali Pollykova, senior researcher of the Institute, stressed, it is impossible to develop modern literary heritage without preservation of the manuscript fund.
