A conference in honor of the Caspian Day organized by the Agency "Sea and River Routes of Turkmenistan" under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan was held in the Turkmen city of Turkmenbashi in the hotel "Charlak". This was reported by the Internet edition "TurkmenPortal.
The International Day of the Caspian Sea is celebrated annually on August 12. The forum was attended by representatives of the Agency "Turkmendenizderyaellary", members of the City Council of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, specialists of the Caspian Environmental Control Service of the city.
During the conference, those present discussed the contribution of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to achieving environmental security and sustainable development of the Caspian Sea.
Special attention was paid to assignment of the "Green Port" certificate to the Turkmenbashi International Seaport.
