President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on June 22 approved the National Action Plan for the realization of children's rights for 2023-2028. This is reported in the press release of UNICEF Turkmenistan.
The new National Plan was developed on the basis of the Presidential Program for the socio-economic development of the country and analysis of the previous National Action Plan. UNICEF and the Institute of State, Law and Democracy participated in the development of the document.
The new National Action Plan identifies important priorities such as the right to health, food, clean water, education, a safe environment, and protection from violence.
UNICEF notes in a press release that it was happy to participate in the work of the project and is ready to support the implementation of the National Action Plan for the realization of children's rights in Turkmenistan for 2023-2028.
