Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan held a meeting with UNECE representative

Today, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova held a meeting with the Director of the Sustainable Energy Division of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Dario Liguti. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The agenda was cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNECE in the field of green energy, sustainable energy and reduction of methane emissions. During the meeting, the prospects for UNECE expert support in the field of solar and wind energy, as well as the development and implementation of advanced energy storage and transmission technologies were discussed.

The parties noted the broad prospects for Central Asian countries to participate in UNECE projects. In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of holding the International Forum on Sustainable Energy in Turkmenistan in 2025.
