U.S. counts on partnership with Turkmenistan to strengthen peace in Afghanistan

U.S. President Joe Biden hopes that Turkmenistan will continue to cooperate with his administration in addressing the issue of reigning peace in Afghanistan. The U.S. president expressed this hope in his congratulatory message to Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov on the occasion of Novruz Bayram.

The U.S. leader emphasized his administration's desire to continue to work with Turkmenistan to achieve common security goals and to support further actions to bring peace to Afghanistan. The United States also welcomes the Turkmen leader's commitment to diversifying the national economy, as this will foster new areas of economic partnership. In particular, the head of the United States noted the importance of developing the energy potential of the Caspian Sea.

In his letter, President Joe Biden also referred to the "C5+1" format, which was initiated five years ago by Secretary of State Kerry. The U.S. leader reaffirmed his administration's commitment to continuing the partnership within this format.
