During a government meeting on May 21, Berdymukhamedov, deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and head of the Supreme Control Chamber of Turkmenistan, presented the head of state Draft Program of Intergovernmental Economic Cooperation of Turkmenistan with the Russian Federation for 2021-2023.
The document fixes the key directions of cooperation between the countries for the next 3 years. The priority vectors are expansion of trade, intensification of cooperation in energy, industry, agriculture, IT, finance, and services.
Having considered the proposed project, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the high importance of developing cooperation with the Russian Federation, one of the key partners of our country. The Intergovernmental Commission plays an important role in this process by ensuring an active dialog between the representatives of the states.
The President approved the proposed draft program of the Turkmen-Russian cooperation, instructing Berdymukhamedov to oversee the implementation of the goals.
