The campaigning stage of the elections to the Majlis has ended in Turkmenistan. Tomorrow - March 26, 2023 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. polling stations will be open throughout the country and in foreign diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan. Voters will have to choose 125 deputies of the Mejlis. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The total number of eligible voters is approaching 3.5 million. A total of 2,644 polling stations have been organized throughout the country. Citizens of Turkmenistan will have to elect not only deputies of the Mejlis, but also members of velayat, etrap and city maslahats and Gengeshs.
A total of 14872 candidates are registered in the country: from the Democratic Party, Agrarian Party, Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, from initiative groups of citizens of electoral districts. Today March 25 is declared a day of silence in Turkmenistan, free from campaigning work.
