While working on a documentary film about the life and creative path of Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi, a film group from Turkmenfilm will go to Turkey and stay there from September 17 to 24. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Filming will take place in Ankara, Istanbul and Konya, as well as in places associated with the name of Makhtumkuli. In Istanbul, a monument to Makhtumkuli was opened in the Turkmenistan Park. The manuscripts of the great thinker, copies of which were included in the collection included in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register, are also kept here.

Ankara is the headquarters of TURKSOY, which is involved in organizing events to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli's birth in 2024. The historical district of Konya is associated with illustrious names such as Omar Khayyam and Mevlana Jalaleddin Rumi. The district is a center of Sufism, which influenced the creative path of the outstanding poet of the East.
