Turkmen Foreign Minister meets with Russian Foreign Minister

Today, ahead of the meeting of foreign ministers of the Caspian littoral countries, the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov met on the issue of bilateral processes in accordance with the decisions of the Heads of State. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

In his welcoming address, the Russian Foreign Minister noted the special importance of the strategic Turkmen-Russian partnership. The activities of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation were highly appreciated. It was noted that preparations for the next meeting of the Commission and business forum are underway.

The parties emphasized that high dynamics is observed in the development of cultural and educational cooperation between the two countries, in the sphere of cultural exchanges. In this regard, a large-scale project will be implemented to establish a joint university, erect a new building of the State Russian Drama Theater and an additional building for the Pushkin School.
