Head of Turkmenistan meets ECO Secretary General

On March 27, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Khusrav Noziri, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the conference "Main directions and potential of tourism development in Turkmenistan. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen side expressed confidence that the participation of ECO representatives in the conference will contribute to strengthening cooperation with the Organization in the tourism sector. The energy sector was named as a promising area of cooperation with ECO.

In the course of the meeting the interaction with the Organization in the transport sphere by using transit opportunities of North-South and East-West corridors by Turkmenistan was considered.
At the end of the meeting mutual confidence in further strengthening of fruitful cooperation was expressed.
