The U.S. Embassy in Turkmenistan jointly with the Mayor of Mary province organized an eco-festival in Bagtyyarlyk Park on April 29. This was reported by the Internet publication "TurkmenPortal".
The guests of the festival participated in games and practical activities, visited stands on the theme of environmental protection. The partners of the eco-festival were the American Corner in Mary, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the Mary branch of the Nature Protection Society of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Badkhyz State Nature Reserve, local cultural and educational centers.
During the opening of the festival, the Deputy Hyakim of Mary velayat and the U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan M. Klimow spoke. He noted that stations were organized on the territory of the festival to offer ideas on recycling, reuse and identification of environmentally friendly products.
