On June 14, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where a number of issues of state life were considered, TDH reports.
During the session, Chairperson of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for approving the Law of Turkmenistan "On the Cultural Heritage of Makhtumkuli Fraghi", and informed the head of state about the development of a new version of the Civil Code, amendments and additions to a number of laws, including the Budget Code of the country.
The Chairman of the Mejlis reported on the preparations for the election of deputies to replace the retired ones, which is scheduled for July 7 this year.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov reported on the modernization of production facilities and maintenance of specialized equipment subordinated to the State Concern "Türkmengaz". In particular, it was reported that step-by-step and major repairs of technical equipment are carried out at gas compressor stations. To increase the reliability of gas pipelines and utilization of gas facilities at full capacity, the work on their material and technical support and supply of spare parts continues.
During the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers it was reported on practical steps taken for the organized harvest of wheat, on preparations for the International Exhibition "China-Eurasia EXPO", which will be held from 26 to 30 June this year in Urumqi (PRC), on holding in Ashgabat II theater festival of member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).
A proposal was also voiced to expand Turkmenistan's representation in authoritative international organizations, in particular in the Eurasian Patent Office EAPO, to hold a regional forum on the legal protection of industrial designs in Ashgabat in October this year, and in 2025 - the next meeting of the Administrative Council of the Eurasian Patent Organization.
In the course of the meeting, information was heard about the introduction of innovative technologies and digital solutions in Arkadag city, and it was noted that it is envisaged to use innovations and modern technologies in the construction of "Ashgabat City".
The proposal of "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" agency on the introduction of 5G technology, widely used abroad, was submitted to the President of Turkmenistan for consideration. As noted, compared to 4G, the data transmission capacity of 5G increases by 10 times.
The head of state approved the submitted proposal and instructed the head of the Agency to study the possibilities and advantages of this technology.
Concluding the Cabinet of Ministers meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Kurban Bayrami will be celebrated in our country on June 16-17-18. In this regard, the head of Turkmenistan said that he signed a decree on celebrating Kurban Bayram and transferring the day off on June 16 to Wednesday - June 19 and congratulated everyone on this holy holiday.
During the meeting, the members of the Cabinet of Ministers congratulated the Head of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Hero-Arkadag on Eid al-Adha.
