Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited the Prime Minister of Japan to visit Turkmenistan

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to visit Turkmenistan at any time convenient for him, according to a telephone conversation with the President of Turkmenistan. email TDH.

This invitation was made in the context of discussing the development of interstate relations and was aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The telephone conversation took place after the first Central Asia-Japan Dialogue Summit and bilateral meeting scheduled for August 9 in Astana were postponed due to a strong earthquake in Japan. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed condolences over the event and emphasized Turkmenistan's readiness to hold talks at any convenient time.

The two sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening the partnership. Prime Minister Kishida assured that the Japanese side would make every effort to organize a summit and a high-level bilateral meeting in the near future. The President of Turkmenistan, in turn, noted the importance of developing interstate dialog on the principles of equality and taking into account the national interests of both countries.
