On October 26, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the agenda of which a number of priority issues of state life were put on the agenda. At the beginning of the session, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressing the President of Turkmenistan and members of the Cabinet of Ministers noted with satisfaction that on October 24, the 79th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, the head of state met with the UN Secretary General António Guterres and congratulated him on this date, which was a great honor for all of us.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people also noted that independent Turkmenistan, twice recognized as a neutral state, pursues a fair "open door" policy. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's speech at the BRICS Summit held in the city of Kazan of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation clearly testifies to this.
Then the Chairman of Mejlis D. Gulmanova informed about the ongoing activities to improve the national legislation.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimiradov reported on preparations for the scientific and practical conference "Turkmen Manat - a symbol of sustainable development of the country", timed to the 31st anniversary of the introduction of the national currency. The organizer of the forum, which will be held on November 1 this year, is the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Amanov reported on the measures being implemented to modernize the material and technical base of the State Concern "Türkmennebit".
As reported, in order to improve the infrastructure of industry facilities, as well as to increase the productivity of exploration work, necessary steps are being taken to provide the State Concern with specialized equipment used in drilling, development and workover of oil and gas wells in the fields.
In this context, the head of state signed the relevant Decree and instructed to ensure strict control over the implementation of the provisions arising from this document.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev reported on the work carried out in the agro-industrial complex, as well as on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the regions of the country.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annamammedov reported on the measures being implemented to strengthen and modernize the material and technical base of the electric power industry.
In order to ensure the proper functioning of gas turbine units at the Lebap State Power Plant and to carry out the necessary repair and maintenance works, the head of state signed a relevant decree.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Atdayev reported on practical steps taken to develop trade and economic ties with neighboring countries.
It was noted that according to the relevant document, cross-exhibitions are planned to be held on the territory of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the Second Turkmen-Uzbek Interregional Forum in our country.
The proposal to hold a national exhibition of Uzbek goods and the Second Turkmen-Uzbek Interregional Forum in Turkmenabat city of Lebap province on November 20-21 this year was submitted to the head of state for consideration.

Meredov, who, preceding the report, on behalf of the members of the Government cordially congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the awarding of the Order of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation "Duslyk" and wished great success in further strengthening and increasing international cooperation of Turkmenistan.
Then Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister reported on preparations for the next meeting of the Strategic Advisory Council "Turkmenistan - United Nations".
Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers M. Chakyev reported on the measures taken to increase the material and technical base of the shipbuilding and ship repair plant "Balkan".
Then, addressing the members of the Government, the head of state noted that the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Resolution "UN Games" proposed by Turkmenistan.
In this context, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed to commemorate such an urgent resolution by organizing a sports event on November 2: all together, following the principles of a healthy lifestyle, to walk the Health Trail.
We will also congratulate our athletes who have demonstrated good results at international tournaments and thus increased the authority of the Motherland, and solemnly present them with deserved awards, the head of state said.
At the same time, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the good news coming from the United Nations Organization. At the 25th plenary meeting of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, the Resolution "Central Asia - Zone of Peace, Trust and Cooperation" initiated by our country was unanimously adopted. This good news, as Hero Arkadag has just noted, is a recognition of the fair "open door" policy implemented by Turkmenistan in the world arena, the head of state said.
We take the support of our initiative by the majority of the member countries of the Community of Nations and the co-sponsorship of the resolution by all the states of the region as a sign of great respect, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, expressing his sincere gratitude in this regard.
The Head of State also warmly congratulated everyone on the adoption of the Resolution "Central Asia - Zone of Peace, Trust and Cooperation".
