Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan meets with Binali Yildirim

On December 10, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Chairman of the Council of Aksakals of the Organization of Turkic States Binali Yildirim, who arrived in our country to participate in the festive celebrations, TDH reports.

The meeting addressed the issues of further development of centuries-old relations established between the Turkmen and Turkish peoples in various directions.

Emphasizing that it was a great honor for him to take part in the celebrations in Turkmenistan, Binali Yıldırım conveyed the words of greetings and best wishes from the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Hero Arkadag.

Thanking for the kind words, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, in turn, addressed reciprocal greetings to the Head of Türkiye.

During the meeting the results of the 16th session of the Council of Aksakals of the Organization of Turkic States in Budapest and the meeting held within its framework were discussed.

During the meeting it was stressed that Turkmenistan's relations with the Organization of Turkic States are reaching a qualitatively new level, in this connection it is expedient to expand joint programs and projects implemented with the subdivisions of this Organization, in particular, within the framework of TURKSOY. It was noted that the Resolution "2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust" was unanimously adopted by the UN General Assembly.

Hero Arkadag also invited Binali Yildirim to participate as a guest of honor in the upcoming international events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
